Who operates this service
Beijing Jizhi Innovation Technology Co., Ltd. (北京集智创新科技有限公司) operates this product. For privacy questions, access or deletion requests, contact service@kitedance.com. Please identify the product and your account or classroom, without sending passwords, API keys or private photos.
Your account and learning records
You can create an account or sign in with an email verification code. We store your email, essential sign-in sessions, hashed verification challenges, expiry and attempt counts. Verification messages are sent by Cloudflare Email Service from noreply@kitedance.com. If you choose GitHub sign-in, GitHub supplies the profile information you authorize, such as your identifier, name, email and avatar.
We store your selected vocabulary book, daily goal, time zone, practice answers, hints used, review times, adaptive challenge targets and vocabulary-estimation state in our hosted database. These records keep your progress available across devices and help schedule your next review. Spaced review estimates are learning aids, not an assessment of your ability.
AI-assisted exercises
Our server selects vocabulary from the KET and PET collection shared with Kite Words. Selected vocabulary and its dictionary context are sent through EasyAPIKey to the configured AI model to produce practice sentences. Your account email, individual answer history and full learning profile are not included in these generation requests. Submitted answers are checked by our server against the selected vocabulary. Validated generated contexts may be cached for seven days and reused as exercises; this cache contains vocabulary context, not account details.
Cookies, browser storage and older records
An essential HttpOnly cookie keeps you signed in. The browser may save a pending answer until the server confirms it, allowing you to retry interrupted work. Older signed-in learning archives remain available for download; applicable history from the previously active profile initializes your review schedule without replacing the archive.
Older guest records remain in the browser and domain where they were created. The legacy export page lets you download those records without deleting them. Clearing that browser’s storage can remove them. Contact us if you need help with an archive or an account deletion request.
Protecting the service
We retain short-lived rate-limit counters, including hashed network identifiers, to limit code guessing, unwanted emails and excessive AI requests. We do not intentionally log verification codes, session credentials or full learning answers in diagnostic logs. Our hosting and email providers also process delivery, network and security information under their own policies.
Your information and choices
You can use the controls provided by the product and contact us about access, correction, export or deletion. We may need to verify your identity or the responsible teacher’s authority. Some records may remain in backups or be retained where necessary for security, financial records or applicable obligations. Contact us for the scope of a particular request.
Service providers and updates
Cloudflare provides hosting, data storage and network services. Infrastructure providers may process network and diagnostic information to deliver and protect the service. We do not sell your personal information. We will update this policy when the product’s data practices change; the date above identifies the current version.
